 2024 Spring Groups

Sessions 1, 2, 3, & 4

Featured

Does your child have a group of friends that want to participate in a group at Healthy Minds together? We can facilitate one of our staple topics, or create a custom curriculum to meet the needs of your group. If you have 4-6 children whose parents are interested in a specific topic for your group, please reach out to our team to get the process started.

Session 1

January 8th - February 26th

Registration Ends 1/5/24

  • MIDDLE SCHOOLERS (12-14 YEARS)

Wednesdays @ 4:30PM with Jim Hoban

As children develop, the importance of perspective taking and conversation skills increases. This group will support your child as they continue to learn more advanced skills about communicating with others, including how thoughts and feelings are shared through their language and conversations. Middle schoolers will be able to engage with their peers in fun activities while they practice these important skills.

  • EARLY ELEMENTARY (6-8 YEARS) & LATE ELEMENTARY (9-11 YEARS)

Thursdays @ 4:30PM with Beth Pecoraro

Does your child struggle with managing their emotions and behavior? Are they ever “out-of-control”? This group will focus on self-regulation skills by helping your child identify their feelings and teaching skills to help them manage those feelings and their reactions. We will be using strategies from The Zones of Regulation to help with self-control and problem solving skills.

  • EARLY ELEMENTARY (6-8 YEARS) & LATE ELEMENTARY (9-11 YEARS)

Tuesdays @ 4:30PM with Jennifer Wallace

Does your child have difficulty making friends? Are they silly or disruptive in social situations? The social world is a big, complicated place where we are all social detectives as we observe, gather, and make sense of the clues in different social situations to figure out the hidden rules for expected behaviors, as well as to understand how we each feel and think about what others say and do in a situation. This group will engage children with fun activities from Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Detective curriculum. Your child will learn how to gather information about their world, learn to identify feelings and connect them to behaviors, and practice interacting with peers with the support of our experienced team.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOLERS (12-14 YEARS)

Thursdays @ 5:30PM with Katy Holtog

Executive Functioning Skills are a set of skills we all use to manage ourselves throughout the day, maintain friendships, and complete tasks. This group will focus on supporting adolescents with these important daily life strategies. This includes planning, organizing, time management, and task completion. They will also learn how this can help them make and keep friendships.
