What’s New
At Healthy Minds, we believe mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the diverse financial realities of our community. That’s why we offer income-based rates to support access for all.
What Is a Sliding Scale?
Our sliding scale allows eligible clients to pay a reduced fee based on household income, financial hardship, and other relevant factors. This model supports equity and sustainability—ensuring care remains available to those who need it most.
Insurance vs. Sliding Scale: What’s the Difference?
To avoid confusion, here’s how our pricing works:
—>Self-Pay: Clients pay out of pocket for therapy services.
—>Insurance: We are out of network for insurance. If you have out of network coverage, you can submit a superbill for reimbursement for our services. When requested, we will provide a superbill to you that can be used for insurance reimbursement. Please reach out to your insurance directly to determine your specific reimbursement rate.
—>Sliding Scale: Offered to our clients and based on income and hardship.
Confidentiality & Respect
All financial information shared for sliding scale eligibility is kept strictly confidential and used only to assess your fee level. We honor your dignity and autonomy throughout the process.
How to Apply
You can request a sliding scale application during your phone consultation, or any time your financial standing changes by emailing info@healthymindscal.com. We’ll guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Existing clients may access the sliding scale application form here at any time and are welcome to reach out to us with any questions at info@healthymindscal.com. Please Note: You will be prompted to sign into your Google account prior to accessing this form.

Nurturing Know-How: Tips for Raising Resilient Kids
Raising resilient children is one of the most rewarding aspects of parenting, and it begins with cultivating a supportive environment that nurtures both mental and emotional strength. Here are some practical tips to help you foster resilience in your kids:
Encourage Problem-Solving
Help your children become adept problem solvers by allowing them to face challenges and find solutions independently. Rather than immediately stepping in to resolve issues, guide them with questions that lead them to their own conclusions. This empowers them to trust their judgment and boosts their confidence.
Model Resilience
Children learn a great deal through observation. Demonstrate resilience in your own life by handling stress and setbacks with a positive attitude. Share stories of your successes and failures, emphasizing how you overcame obstacles and what you learned from each experience.
Foster a Growth Mindset
Encourage your children to view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than insurmountable obstacles. Praise their efforts and perseverance rather than just their successes. This mindset helps them understand that skills and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work.
Cultivate Emotional Awareness
Teach your children to recognize and express their emotions in healthy ways. Provide a safe space for them to share their feelings and validate their emotions. This practice builds emotional intelligence and helps them manage stress and recover from difficulties more effectively.
Build a Supportive Network
Surround your children with a supportive community of family, friends, and mentors. Encourage them to form strong bonds and seek help when needed. A robust support system provides reassurance and resources for overcoming life's challenges.
By implementing these strategies, you can help your children develop the resilience needed to navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence and grace. Resilient kids grow into adaptable, self-assured adults who are well-equipped to tackle whatever comes their way.
